Nitric Oxide Infusion® is sweetened with thaumatin, a naturally derived sweet protein sourced from a plant native to West Africa. It is used in small amounts to provide sweetness without added sugars or carbohydrates, while maintaining a clean, pleasant taste.

I use 4 or 5 sprays from about 20cms away. Spray a fine mist until sufficient product has accumulated but stop before it starts to run into droplets on your skin.

You can do either. I prefer to rub it in. I get less salty residue that way. Also, the action of rubbing helps to improve circulation.
